Can you believe that Mrs. Hanna and I added nearly 375 new books to the library shelves this year?? We’re working hard to make sure that you have all of the best books we can find that will enlighten, entertain, and educate you every time you pick one up. Even though we’re close to the end of the year, we’re still working on building our next big book order so when you come back to school in September, you’ll find lots of interesting new books to choose from. Don’t forget to stop in and let us know if you’ve got a book in mind that you’d like to see on the shelves. We’re always interested in learning about what kinds of books you’d like to find when you browse the shelves.
The May duck contest was another big hit and we’d like to congratulate Emma Carlson, Renee Stevens, Roderick McDermott, Lexsey Hynes, Callie Erickson, and Summer Korte for guessing that we had 53 ducks in the library. Thanks to everyone who participated! We are already looking forward to our next contest in September, which, as many of you know, will be based on that amazing Canadian man, Terry Fox.
If you are a grade 5, 6, or 7 student and want to make sure that you’ve got some great summer reading lined up be sure to see Mrs. Hanna or myself about joining our summer reading program. With a parent/guardian’s permission, you can borrow up to 6 books to read while school is out. Pick up your permission forms at the library and return them by June 15th to participate. All books must be returned to the library on the first day of school in September. It's a great way to make sure you’ve got something to read!
Mrs. Hanna and I would like to take this time to wish you all a fantastic summer break. Wherever your summer travels and adventures may take you, we hope that you enjoy absolutely every moment!
Travel safe and have fun!
“How did it get so late so soon?
Its night before its afternoon.
December is here before its June.
My goodness how the time has flewn.
How did it get so late so soon?”
