It's been another busy, fun-filled year and we did it all with our usual Ruth Betts style, grace, good humour, and compassion.
Can you remember all the way back to September and our Terry Fox Run, October & the Welcome Back BBQ along with the first snow days closures in 25 years?! Wowzers!! November brought Al Simmons Presents and later, our Remembrance Day Assembly. Then we had the crazy antics of Shimmer and her friends to keep up with in December, and the Grotto just before Winter Break began.
And here we are, all the way back to where we started...June! Camp Whitney, grade 7 canoe trip, the spring band concert, WISE presentations, and not to forget, the crafty creations everyone made for those special men in their lives for Father's Day!
We've got one last big event before we say goodbye to our grade 8 friends who are heading over to Hapnot in September, and a "see you soon" to our friends who will be returning to Ruth Betts in the fall. Friday, June 30th is an important day to mark on your calendars - not only do you pick up your report cards for the last time this school year, but we invite you and your family to come together and share in our annual Ruth Betts Pancake Breakfast! Bring your mom, dad, brothers and sisters, aunties and uncles and of course, your appetite!! Mmmm, pancakes and sausages!
So as we come to a close, Mrs. Hanna and myself want to thank you for the laughter, smiles, joy, and great conversations that you've all brought with you into the library this year. We're going to miss you and hope that you all enjoy the most amazing summer break ever!
Whatever you do and wherever you go, stay safe, have fun, and be happy!
See you in September!
