Welcome to one of the brightest, shiniest, and most fun-filled months of the year! Never mind that its also the last month of the year! December brings snow, snow, and more snow. Now’s the time to dress warm, grab your sled, skis, or snowshoes, and head out into that winter wonderland that we call home and play!
We have a full calendar at school this month and so many exciting activities to enjoy before we break for the holiday season. Be sure to check out the December school calendar as well as the Family Room calendar so you don't miss out on a thing!
Congratulations to Eileen (3L) and Kevin (7S/L) on having their names drawn as winners for our November library contest. K-3 answers were: Clifford, Pete the Cat, Olaf, Scaredy Squirrel, and Pigeon. 4 -8 answers were Captain Underpants, Grinch, Garfield, Bart Simpson, and Red Angry Bird. Thanks to everyone who participated! We all had a lot of fun trying to guess who was who!
We have had many new books arrive in the library and still have a few more to hit the shelves before the end of the month. Keep an eye out for new offerings from your favorite authors or maybe, just maybe, you will discover someone new and they'll become your favorite author!
The annual BSSAP Feast is at McIsaac School on Sunday, December 10th. Gather your family and join us for an afternoon of community, great conversation, laughter and of course, amazing food! It is the perfect way to reconnect with old friends, catch up on the latest news, and meet new families in our community!
Another annual event that we all look forward to is the arrival of Ruth Betts very own Elf, Shimmer. Where has she been? What wild and wacky antics will she do to entertain us this year? We will be keeping an eye out for her and hope that you will be too! Listen to the morning announcements to find out when Shimmer will be arriving!
December 20th is our Ruth Betts Christmas Concert and we are hoping to see you all there. Last year‘s concert was a huge success, as it is every year, and we all love to see you singing and enjoying the spirit of the holiday season. Wear your best smile and have fun!
Mrs. Hanna and I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and happy holiday season and we are wishing you all the very best in the New Year.
May your cares be few, your travels be safe, and your joy know no limit!
